Biography

My name is Isac Saleh and I come from a small town in southern Sweden.

When I was 15 I took my very first guitar class in school. I immediately grew an interest for the instrument and my goal was to become as good as my big brother. I had a lot to live up to since in my eyes, my big brother was as skilled as a veteran rock band guitarist. In reality though he only knew a couple of simple chords. Nevertheless I kept on playing and wanted to learn the songs of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Nirvana and other rock groups.

When I was 16 my dad bought me my first classical guitar, the Enrique Keller Serrana 2002 and I started to play more often. I was progressing slow and playing a lot of songs incorrectly, until the age of 19 when I found something called tablature. I finally learned how to play the songs exactly as they sounded in the original soundtracks. I was blown away by excitement. Every new song I learned brought more joy and excitement. I also loved the challenge and my skill kept progressing... Then at the age of 22 I moved to Norway for work.

One spring day in 2011 when I was 24 I saw a couple of videos of people on YouTube playing Zelda songs on guitar. The style was so cool. It was two or three different tracks being played at once on the guitar. I was amazed and remember thinking "How is that even possible?" That's when I discovered fingerstyle guitar.

The nostalgic impact I got from those fingerstyle arrangements was overwhelmingly strong. I just had to learn them! I immediately picked up my Enrique Keller and started to practice on Title Theme from The Legend of Zelda [NES] arranged by fr3rdsky. After a couple of days I finally learned it and was thinking, "I wonder if I can bring the same nostalgic feelings to other people...".

I made a YouTube channel and uploaded my first video, a poor quality recording of myself playing Title Theme - The Legend of Zelda. I didn't expect much but after 2-3 days the video had 30'000+ views and people were demanding more. I was in shock! I made another video and everyone was loving it, I was loving it. That's when I started to arrange my own fingerstyle guitar arrangements, with the purpose of being as accurate to the original sound track as possible and bringing the same nostalgic feelings... I'm now passionately dedicated to teach others how to learn this skill and style!
